Send us your own fabric and we'll professionally cover upholstery buttons to match your project perfectly. Ideal for headboards, footstools, sofas, and cushions where you want a seamless match to your chosen fabric.

How it works

1. Place your order below, selecting your button size and quantity.
2. Post your fabric to us — please allow a minimum of 2 square inches (approx. 5cm x 5cm) of fabric per button, to allow for pattern placement and wastage. For larger button sizes or patterned/directional fabric, a little extra is recommended. Please include your order number with the parcel, and indicate clearly which side of the fabric should be the right (visible) side.
3. We cover your buttons by hand using traditional upholstery techniques and post them back to you.

Sizing

Our covered buttons are made using genuine C.S. Osborne button moulds, sized in Lignes (Lg) — the traditional French sizing system used for upholstery buttons. The approximate millimetre width is shown alongside each size for reference.

Button back

All buttons are finished with a wire-loop back, the standard fixing for upholstery and soft furnishings.

Turnaround

Please allow 5–7 working days from when we receive your fabric.

Please note

• This listing is for the covering service only — fabric is supplied by the customer.
• Minimum 2 square inches of fabric required per button — orders sent with insufficient fabric may be delayed while we contact you.
• We recommend sending a little extra fabric in case of flaws or pattern matching needs.
• For patterned or directional fabric, please let us know in the order notes.
• Fine or sheer fabrics must be supplied with a lining attached, as they need enough body to wrap and clamp around the button mould.
