Choosing a Staple Gun
Staple guns come in manual and pneumatic (air-powered) versions:
- Manual staple guns: good for occasional use, repairs, and softer timber frames; no compressor needed.
- Pneumatic staple guns: the standard for regular or production upholstery work — faster, more consistent drive depth, and less hand fatigue. Requires an air compressor.
Make sure the gun matches the staple series you're buying (71, 80, 13, or 53) — they aren't interchangeable between guns.
